What does Youngr do?
Youngr scans a photo of your meal, identifies the foods on your plate, and shows you which micronutrients you might be missing — along with concrete suggestions for what to eat next.
Is Youngr free?
Youngr offers a free tier covering account creation, your initial Nutritional Age estimate, and a blurred preview of your scan history. Meal scanning and the full nutrient breakdown are part of Youngr Premium, with a 3-day free trial.
How accurate is the nutritional analysis?
Estimates are computed by an AI vision model and a rule-based scoring engine. They are useful as a directional guide for everyday choices, but they are not medically precise. Do not rely on Youngr for food allergies, religious dietary observance, or medical dietary needs.
How are my meal photos used?
Meal photos are sent in real time to Google's Gemini API for inference (no training on your content under the paid tier), stored encrypted on Cloudflare R2 tied to your account, and used solely to build your scan history and personalized recommendations. They are never sold or shared with advertisers.
Where is Youngr based?
Youngr is published by Legacy Media Kft., a Hungarian limited liability company headquartered in Budapest. The Service runs on infrastructure located primarily in the United States (Cloudflare, Supabase, Google).
Can I delete my data?
Yes. From the Profile screen in the app, account deletion permanently removes your database records and meal images within 24 hours, and invalidates all analytics identifiers. See the Privacy Policy for full retention details.
